• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to address environmental challenges and enhance community resilience, focusing on sustainable solutions tailored to the specific needs of two disadvantaged communities in Rawalpindi-Islamabad
• Community Engagement: Engage with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders to understand their concerns, priorities, and aspirations regarding water management, environmental sustainability and resilience. Facilitate participatory decision-making processes to ensure community ownership of APWASI initiatives
• Capacity Building of communities: Develop monthly awareness session workshop and training materials, agenda, activity plan and budget plan and other MOVs. Provide training and capacity-building programs to empower communities with knowledge and skills related to water management, environmental conservation, WASH, water resource management, and climate adaptation strategies.
• Environmental Monitoring and Assessment: Conduct regular environmental assessments and monitoring activities to identify areas of concern, assess risks, and measure progress towards sustainability goals. Assist M&E manager to develop M&E tools and materials to inform decision-making and prioritize interventions.
• Collaboration and Networking: Foster partnerships with government agencies like Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA), non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and support for the implementation of sustainable development initiatives.
• Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies and regulations that promote environmental sustainability, social equity, and resilience within disadvantaged communities. Influence decision-makers at the local, regional, and national levels to prioritize environmental considerations in urban development planning and governance through city-wide partnership workshops
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with the stakeholders for advocacy initiatives including workshops, seminars, conferences, etc
• Environmental Education and Awareness: Raise awareness about environmental issues, urban water security, climate change impacts, and sustainable practices under a water-sensitive approach through outreach campaigns, workshops, and educational activities. Empower community members to adopt eco-friendly behaviours and contribute to effective water management.
• Risk Reduction and Resilience Building: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate environmental risks, such as lack of access to clean drinking water, land pollution and urban heat island effects, while enhancing the resilience of the communities to withstand and recover from environmental shocks and stresses.
• Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness and impact of APWASI interventions on community resilience, livability, and sustainability. Prepare comprehensive

• Researching and analyzing the issue to produce ideas
• Writing and collaborating with researchers to produce a draft
• Revising, editing, and proofreading the content to ensure content quality
• Produce a wide variety of materials in some cases like papers, articles, emails
• Blog writing and social media postings; Developing research proposals, dissertations, and research paper
• Assist project manager in an administrative tasks as needed

Coordinate Project management activities, resources, equipment, and information
• Break the project into doable actions and set timeframes
• Help in proposal writing to enhance the organization’s business
• Design work and implementation plan for the project and liaise with clients to
identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives
• Assign tasks to the project team and assist to develop work plans
• Make sure that beneficiaries’ needs are met as the project evolves
• Help prepare budgets & oversee project procurement management
• Analyze risk and opportunities
• Monitor project progress and handle any issue that arises
• Act as point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
• Work with the project Manager to eliminate blockers
• Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures
• Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (Contracts and terms of the agreement)
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
• Ensure that the syllabus is according to the requirements of the Oxford University
Press
• Ensure the client’s strength via outreach activities
• Monitor the project activities as per SOPs and ensure the evaluation of staff as
per their TORs
• Ensure to submit monthly progress at a given time
