As senior program manager with comprehensive disaster response services  (CDRS) I deal with multi sector projects in various areas of Pakistan and AJ&K. I led a team of  professionals which were engaged with a wide ranging projects like,  disaster relief and logistics services, youth and women empowerment, clean drinking water accessibility in water-scarce areas to supporting differently-ambled people and animal welfare and rescue services.

Project Title: “Transformation of Newly Earthquake Resistant Constructed Schools into Inclusive, Child friendly Joyful learning environment” Funded by UNICEF | Location: Muzaffarabad AJK |

Project Scope: Transformed child friendly school through capacity building of education department.
·         Recruitment of field teams’ (Dist. Team Leads, Mentors and Social Organizers) for project implementation in the 5 Districts of AJK
·         Conducted need-based orientation meetings with secretariat officials, directors (DPIs), dist. education officers, assistant education officers, school administration and other stakeholders to introduce organization and project at different levels.
·         Conducted/ Arranged 8 days comprehensive staff Training (TOT) and Project orientation.
·         Developed training manuals along with instruction manuals for different trainings, such as school/ camp-based training for teachers, manual for mother support group/ SMC trainings, instruction manual for School self-assessment techniques, and student council.

Project Scope: Successfully established a model of ECE under the umbrella of overall child friendly schools’ concept.
·         Introduced ECE Component in AJK as pioneer and recruitment of ECE Teachers for the implementation of ECE Program in 5 districts of AJK.
·         Recruitment of project staff and ECE Teachers for Govt, school in consultation with Department of Education.
·         Organized 10 Days Training for Newly recruited teachers in AJK.
·         Led sessions for ECE teachers during monthly meetings for further capacity building and prepared them for execution of scheme of study.
·         Arranged and facilitated exposure visits for department of education officials in PDCN, Gilgit to understand child friendly school practices in GB and further replication in AJK.
·         Conceptual guidelines for project team to facilitate Mother support group (MSGs) and School Management Committees (SMCs) Meetings

Project Scope: Facilitated communities of Earthquake affected areas in Rehabilitation of Livelihoods
·         Generated and submitted project proposals for Community livelihood Rehabilitation Program for each targeted Village to DRU /FAO in the light of prioritized needs of Local Communities.
·         Being a Member of Livelihood Working Committee, attended all CLW Committee meetings for progress sharing with elected political representative/ parliamentarians for effective coordination and defend CLRP proposals logically in front of LWC and DRAC.
·         Follow up meetings and facilitated process of fund release to Community organization.
·         Tracked fund releases from DRU and disbursement to concerned communities
·         Financial Reporting to DRU against work done and process for next releases of funds to communities as per agreed work plan.

Project Title: Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Project Funded by Neither land Arm- Configuration (Netherlands) | Location: AJK | Duration: 3 Year
Role: Project Coordinator | Client: Earthquake Effected Communities of AJK
Project Scope: Supported communities of Earthquake affected areas in Rehabilitation of Livelihoods
·         Project Team Recruitment and Project Orientation to New Team on implementation strategies.
·          Identified 4 decentralized locations of the project area, in consultation with Community to establish medical camps to facilitate community and increase outreach.
·         Closely worked with health department, Family Planning Association of Pakistan (FPAP), UNFPAP, CDRS, and other stakeholders and organized medical camps on routine and demand basis.
·         Led research study to recognize diet pattern and reasons of malnutrition and anemia in project targeted areas.
·         Offered support to the Govt. Health Department in Hygiene promotion events and other important awareness campaigns, like polio campaign, vaccination, and TB.
·         Arranged free eye camps as well as delivered ambulance services to transport serious patients towards CMH and Abbas Institute of medical Sciences (AIMS) Muzaffarabad AJK.
·         Provided free medicines and medical services to community.
·         Health and Hygiene awareness session for general community
·         Facilitated the process of Formation of Village Health Committees. (VHCs) and their capacity building.
·         Health and Hygiene sessions in schools to create awareness and take preventive measures to safe guard children from seasonal and epidemic diseases.
 
Project Title: Preparing Disaster Resilient Communities Funded by Tear Fund UK | Location: AJK | Duration: 2 Year
Role: Team Lead | Client: Earthquake Effected Communities of Muzaffarabad AJK
Project Scope: Created awareness and built capacity of local community to increase resilience of EQ affected areas.
·         In consultation with line department, development organizations, and stakeholders, identified potential group of master trainers from local communities.
·         Arranged ToT for selected master Trainers on preparing “Disaster Resilient Communities”.
·         Finalized manual to help local disaster management committees in hazard mapping, resource identification/ planning, hazard removal planning and devising future action plan to handle future disasters destruction.

·         Worked on Child Friendly schooling concept and Joyful teaching learning methodologies as solution of trauma and dealing with Psycho- emotional issues.
·         Govt. Primary Schools Teachers Capacity building on Joyful Teaching learning approaches.
·         Established 30 early childhood care and education centers in community and recruited ECCE caregivers to run these Centers.
·         Established 10 Model Adult Literacy Centers for females at community level and recruited teachers for ALCs from local community.
·         Headed the responsibility for ALC and ECCE centers monitoring and capacity building of ALC and ECCE teachers to assure smooth running of ECE centers and ALC centers.
·         Arranged Training for ECCE caregivers and ALC centers teachers.
·         Established a teacher training center at Muzaffarabad AJK to support Education Department
·         Established decentralized learning resource centers for teachers at union council level in Muzaffarabad to support education department.
