Islamic Relief is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to alleviate suffering, poverty and injustice. Islamic relief has been actively engaged in the development and relief efforts across the globe, with strong focus on supporting vulnerable communities including women and children specifically in marginalized areas, natural catastrophe caused and war stricken areas.
Ongoing programs and mentioned below under supervision of Ms. Aneela Tajik, Senior Advocacy Officer IRP.
1.     VOCAL ( Voices organized for climate change advocacy and Lobbying)
The organization has enthusiastically arranged different activities in various places including communities, universities, colleges and schools aiming at emphasizing the importance of environmental stability, mitigating air and water pollution. Events also focused on understanding national and international laws pertaining to environment and climate changes.
2.     EMPOWER (Emancipatory Mobilization through Participation Ownership women’s Engagement and Resilience)
This program aimed at focusing the awareness among the targeted communities regarding domestic violence, girls’ education and early child marriages by different activities such as workshops, the training of faith leaders, community influential, social activists academia, national level conferences on Gender justice and celebration of international days.
Role
o    I am responsible to assist the organization advocacy efforts by conducting research, the monitoring of policy developments, drafting communications and meeting minutes, arranging outreach activities campaigns and social events.
o    Engage with law makes under the directions of supervisor, the stakeholders and public to highlight the on going humanitarian crisis, climate changes, Eco- tourism and human rights.

o   Conducted comprehensive legal research using various resources, including legal databases, case laws, and statutes.
o   Built and maintained strong client relationships through effective communication.
o   Analyzed legal issues to provide valuable insights and support decision-making processes.
o   Crafted a variety of legal documents, such as pleadings, contracts, negotiations, applications, and motions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
o   Prepared clients for court appearances, recording evidence in various cases.
o   Acted as a liaison between the firm and clients, addressing inquiries, and providing regular updates on case progress.
o   Participated in assessments of high-profile cases, collaborating with experienced colleagues to gain insights into diverse legal matters.
o   Representing Afghan residents living in Pakistan on POR cards in writ petitions, ensuring their legal rights were protected under the NADRA Rules 2002.
o   Effectively handled spouse cases, providing legal guidance and support to Afghan clients through the complex legal processes.
o   Contributed to legal writing and documentation associated with complex cases.
o   Provided clients with legal advice and support on a wide range of legal issues.
o   Attracted additional business from both new and existing clients.
o   Specialized in the maintenance of court dockets and diaries.
