DTO (District TB Officer) at Sukkur Sindh,The CDC III Tuberculosis Program funded by the Global Fund. My main responsibilities are
- To oversee and coordinate all the TB program activities in the district, both in the public and private sectors.
- To train and supervise all the TB staff, including screeners, counselors and lab technicians.
- To plan and implement the expansion of public BMUs (Basic Management Units) in the uncovered areas of the district, to improve the case detection and notification rates.
-To ensure the contact screening and preventive therapy for TB contacts, as well as the HIV testing for all registered TB patients.
- To integrate other health services, such as hepatitis and HIV, with the TB program, and to maintain the quality of the TB labs (AFB microscopy, GeneXpert and BSLs).
- To plan, implement and monitor the active case finding component, using mobile X-ray vans to screen high-risk populations.
- To manage and report all the logistics related to BMUs and TB labs, such as drugs, consumables and equipment.
Project On IPC (Infection Prevention Control) Responsible to conduct awareness sessionswhich aims to educate various stakeholders in the health care sector, Health Care Workers the and general public about the importance of preventing and controlling infections. My main responsibility is to conduct awareness sessions in different public and private health care settings and communities in District Shikarpur, where I explain the basic principles and practices of IPC (Infection Prevention and Control). I also provide training on IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) to the staff of CoE (Center of Excellence) RBUT Hospital Shikarpur, which is a leading facility in the region. Through this project, I hope to improve the quality and safety of health care services and reduce the risk of transmission of infectious diseases.
