I embarked on my journey in the development sector through a three-month internship with The NGO World organization in Islamabad. Following this invaluable experience, I transitioned into a field worker role at a local organization in Vehari, Punjab. Here, I gained hands-on experience and deepened my understanding of grassroots development initiatives.
My passion for community development led me to join Islamic Relief Pakistan in Bagh, AJK, where I initially served as a Community Development Officer. In this role, I actively engaged with local communities, implementing projects aimed at enhancing their well-being and resilience. After a year, I transitioned to the Islamabad office, assuming the position of Assistant Project Officer. Here, I focused on child protection initiatives, working tirelessly to safeguard street children from various risks and facilitate their enrollment in non-formal schools.
After four impactful years in child protection, I transitioned to the Humanitarian department of Islamic Relief Pakistan as a Senior Programme Operations Support Officer based in Islamabad. In this capacity, I provided critical support to field teams in executing humanitarian operations, ensuring the smooth management and implementation of emergency and seasonal projects across various regions.
Throughout my journey, I have remained committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable communities, leveraging my skills and expertise to contribute effectively to the development and humanitarian sectors.
My current position is to assist the Disaster Risk Management team on humanitarian operations and ongoing disaster risk management programming in the KPK, Baluchistan and Sindh. This will include: supporting the mobilization and coordination of resources required for effective and efficient disaster response efforts; overseeing the development and implementation of Emergency Plans of Action (EPoA). Position will oversee the implementation of programming designed to support national societies on capacity building for disaster risk reduction and preparedness for effective response.
This position will contribute to meet the project targets, compliance of organisational requirement and support area offices requirement of Disaster Risk Management Projects being implemented in IRP program areas across the country. This mainly involves facilitating Area offices to ensure the project activities are well planned, and are able to effectively monitor and measure the progress and impact of their work.
Following are key responsibilities currently as Assitant Project Officer
Effective coordination and planning of project activities.
Proper planning and execution of activities while consulting all concern
Ensure timely completion of all activities while adhering quality aspects
Progress sharing with line management on regular basis along with assistance in projects monthly, interim and closed out reports
Assist in developing criteria, assessment tools & finalize it after proper consultation with line management
Ongoing monitoring of all interventions & sharing timely feedback with line management
Identify resource persons for capacity building component under livelihoods
Identify gaps, avoid overlaps and duplication of grants/project activities
Advise the field teams on best practices and approaches on sustainable livelihoods and ensure effective implementation
Remain good team player & foster team building
Create and maintain good relation with local communities line agencies, NGOs and INGOs
Ensure accuracy of data collected
Create databases and data entry interfaces for data collected and needed by Program and Reporting Desk, according to the formats used for data collection, as requested by the said departments
Is responsible to ensure that the data entry interface corresponds to department needs and their information gathering system.
Responsible for mobilizing the community through dialogue, awareness raising and using PRA/RRA tools for protection of street children through enrollment in schools of Punjab government and protect children by making child care groups (CCGs) of communities comprising on teachers, social activists, local government representatives and parents for strengthening child support mechanism. Responsible for engaging community through community based organization(CO), so community raise their voice for entitlements through a platform. Responsible for active community support for the project activities and ownership. Responsible for sustainability of community development through advocacy approach.

o ENUMERATOR WITH APEX CONSULTANT FOR “POST COMPAIGN MONITORING OF RECENT POLIO COMPAIGN” IN VARIOUS SURVEYS.
It is part time project and when compaigns start they contact us.
• Data collection from rural areas of Bagh AJK in ODK tool for post monitoring of recent polio campaigns.
• Used “Random Sampling” technique for cluster selection.
• Performed indigenous roles (Culture, Language and Living) to get more accurate data.
• Interaction with community for allowing us to visit door to door.
Responsibilities Perfomed.
• Monitoring project work in different schools of Punjab, Sindh and KP.
• Training of teachers about “visual methods of teaching” through LCD’s lessons.
• Coordination and interaction with community about the project and evaluate response from parents and community about performance of project.
• Close coordination with teachers to assure daily lesson from LCDs.
• Making changes in lessons through innovative ideas by analysing students’s interest about things.
