As a Monitoring and Evaluation Accountability Learning Officer (From June 2017 to March 2018) with Action for Humanitarian Development under the Plan International Pakistan’s Safer School Project in District Thatta/Sujawal, where my role is to monitor project activities on the ground. To ensure project activities in the field and schools I had to coordinate with government stakeholders and village committees. Being a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, I had also supported field team in the formation of School Development Management Committees & Students Representative Counsels (SDMCs & SRCs). Conducted in-depth analysis of risks, vulnerabilities and capacities in project area and in high risk communities and developed adequate capacity building programs to address those vulnerabilities in DRR and Education Sector. Conducted training and capacity building sessions of SDMCs on disaster risk reduction, preparedness and mitigation schemes. Conducted capacity building sessions of field team Contingency Planning (CP) and School Development and Safety Planning to further implement in the field. In addition to this, I had ensured there a Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM) and had fixed CRM boxes in the village committees and Schools for having feedback and demands of community. Moreover, database (Qualitative & Quantitative Data) monitoring and record verification and validation were the key role I had performed during the project.
As a School Support Associate/Education Monitor (From October 2016 to April 2017) with
Creative Associates International under the USAID funded project Pakistan Reading Project
PRP in district Nawabshah, I had facilitated Service Professional Teachers to deliver lesson (SABAK)
adequately. For implementing the project activities, I had liaised with District Education Officer and
Taluka Education Officer both male and female. On duty I had supported low performance teachers in
conducting proper lesson plan and also ensured their participation in the Monthly Teachers Inquiry
Group Meetings. In addition, I had conducted ToT of Facilitators on how to ensure print rich
environment in the class rooms, use of modules and TLM/RLM and to assess comprehensive reading
skills of students. Following the pattern of EGRA, I had assessed more than 400 students reading skills
through formative assessment. Besides assessment, I had facilitated teachers to establish corner
libraries in the schools to build the interest of students towards reading/education.
As a Team Leader/Social Organizer (From July 2015 to October 2016) with DevCon- An
Association for Rural Development under the Save the Childrens funded project CHAON II in
district Nawabshah, an integrated project on Health, Education and Child Protection. Being a Team
Leader, I had played role in capacity building of Community Based Organizations on record keeping,
program organizing and coordination and communication building with stakeholders. Conducted
training of Child Rights Groups to ensure imporatnce of child rights on education, health and child
protection. Capacity Building of teachers on delivering health education in the schools and also
capacitated teachers on planning School Development Plans throgh core SMC Budget.
As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (From May 2014 to June 2015) with VSO under the Save the Children funded project Emergency Response and Recovery Program in district Dadu, where my role was to assess DRR/EP Activities in the field. To support mobilization team in identifying DRR activities I had to pay regular field visits in order to assess and support team in implementing project activities in smooth way. In order to ensure the provision of accurate and updated information I had developed progress reports periodically to share with M&E Manager. In order to ensure quality in the project activities reports formats had been prepared and then cross verified after filling by field staff. I had conducted surveys in order to assess marginalized and vulnerable community to provide assistance for their survival. I had facilitated Field Team in conducting Risk and Resource Mapping and also Developed Safety Plans for Schools and LDCs. In close coordination with district disaster management authority, I had reviewed and updated district disaster management plan. I had kept close liaison with other specialists of the Project working on other outputs for information and experience sharing to supplement their work with inputs related to all thematic areas of project.
As a Community Mobilization Officer (From January 2011 to December 2012) with ACF International on Health and Nutrition in district Dadu, my role was to conduct capacity building training of Nutrition Assistants, LHWs and CHWs on IMNCI, MNCH and Nutrition. Dessiminating of key messages on Stunting and Healthy Diet for Mothers and New Borns through IEC Material and Field Staff. Besides LHWs, I had formed Quality Improvement Teams in different Ucs in order to bridging the gap between community and health facility. Coordination with DHO and WHO department in implementing the project activities were the key role to be assigned to me.
As a Nutrition Community Mobilizer (From May 2009 to December 2010) with ACF International on Nutrition Project in district Dadu. As a Nutrition Community Mobilizer, I had been assigned a role to sensitize community involvement in case finding, referral, encouraging attendance and minimize defaulters. Besides sensitization, I supported Community Nutrition Volunteers (CNVs) during screening and linking up CNVs with the LHW Program. In addition, I had organized and facilitated regular community screening sessions for CNVs with the guidance of OTP Supervisors. I had ensured quality of screening exercise and adherence to protocols through active supervision. Through liaison with the Team Leaders and Line Manager, provided effective follow up strategy of all cases particularly tracing of children and PLW who were absent from the program, sick children, long stay children, children not gaining weight, and children with social problems. Moreover, I had provided key nutrition education messages to beneficiaries based on the protocol and guidelines by initiating community dialogue and solution finding initiatives made to improve uptake and utilization of program and health services.
