With approximately 15 years of multidisciplinary experience, I bring expertise from diverse roles across NGO/INGO and donor-funded projects, including Community Mobilization, Microfinancing, Monitoring & Evaluation, Third-Party Validation, Data Collection and Analysis, Data Management, Android-based Surveys, and High-Quality Report Writing.
Since June 2024, I have been serving as the “Senior Monitoring & Reporting Specialist” at “Associates in Development (AiD) Pvt. Ltd”., delivering Third Party Monitoring and Verification Services for the World Bank-funded Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KPCHIP) - Education Component.
In my prior role (June 2023 to September 2024), I led “Monitoring & Evaluation” for “Inspire Pakistan”, overseeing data collection and analysis for the performance of a United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) funded Community Based Protection Project for Afghan refugees and host communities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Earlier (July 2023 to December 2023), I worked as an “Senior Evaluation Expert (Consultant)” with Italy-based “IZI Methods, Analysis & Economic Evaluations Spa-Rome”, conducting an impact assessment of the poverty reduction program implemented by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) across Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, and neighboring regions.
From December 2021 to May 2023, I held the position of “Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist” at the “Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, Government of Pakistan”, where I designed and implemented monitoring, evaluation, and assessment frameworks for various educational projects.
Between February 2019 and December 2021, I was “Manager of Monitoring & Evaluation” at “MM Pakistan Pvt. Ltd”., reporting on the “End Line Survey of Third Tier Organizations (TTOs)/Local Support Organizations (LSOs),” a project funded by Lahore School of Economics (LSE) and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).
During my tenure from April 2013 to June 2018 with “The Urban Unit, Planning & Development Board, Government of Punjab”, I served as a “Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist”, ensuring effective coordination and reporting for the World Bank-funded Punjab Cities Governance Improvement Project (PCGIP).
Additionally, I worked with “ICF-GHK Consulting Pvt. Ltd”. from October 2011 to January 2013 as a “Monitoring & Evaluation Officer” for the "Targeting Process Evaluation of Benazir Income Support Program," conducting in-depth interviews with BISP officials and beneficiaries throughout Punjab.
Earlier in my career (April 2008 to October 2011), I was part of the “Punjab Rural Support Program (PRSP)” as “Social Organizer/Incharge Field Unit”, focusing on community mobilization, the formation of Community Organizations (COs), microfinance disbursement and recovery, physical infrastructure projects, and vocational training in Faisalabad district.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strong skills in project implementation, training, team management, Android/ODK-based surveys, data collection and analysis, community mobilization, M&E, and communication. I am currently working as the Senior Monitoring and Reporting Specialist for Third Party Monitoring and Verification Services on the World Bank-funded “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KPHCIP) - Education Component.” My responsibilities include:
Conducting telephonic monitoring of the Teachers Induction Program (TIP) by developing a methodology and questionnaire for the Computer Assisted Telephonic Interviews (CATI) tool.
Training field monitors on the CATI tool and ensuring quality assurance through data review and spot checks by directly contacting the relevant teachers.
Overseeing the timely collection of data for two educational facilities, Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Girls Community Schools (GCS), by regularly monitoring data, providing feedback, and delivering necessary training to field monitors.
Preparing monthly and quarterly progress reports on various indicators for abovementioned educational facilities.
Monitoring and reporting on the performance and effectiveness of a “Community Based Protection Project sponsored by United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) & GIZ” for Afghan refugees and host communities in areas of ICT, Punjab and Sindh, by developing M&E Framework, M&E Plan, Data Collection Tools (both Qualitative & Quantitative), Data Collection & Analysis, Field Team Management and Report Writing (Monthly, Quarterly, Biannual and Annual).
Impact Assessment of “Program to fight poverty through rural development in the provinces of Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Neighbouring Areas” implemented by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) through different partner organizations. This has been done by developing different data collection tools (both Qualitative & Quantitative), Data collection by conducting interviews of the concerned officials and Focus Group Discussion with the concerned local community organizations including Community Organizations (COs), Village Organizations (VOs) and Local Support Organizations (LSOs)/Third Tier Organizations (TTOs).
Developed comprehensive monitoring plans for each ongoing project outlined in PSDP to ensure effective oversight and progress tracking. Additionally, created monitoring mechanisms for new projects, to be incorporated into the PC-I framework, ensuring that these projects are well-structured from the outset. Also prepared detailed monthly monitoring reports, covering both the physical and financial aspects of each project, and provided recommendations to facilitate the timely completion of these projects. Furthermore, regularly visited each site for monitoring purpose and provided timely feedback to the Project Incharge (Secretary). I also provided support to different World Bank funded projects of in terms of designing their M&E frameworks. These projects mainly include “Response, Resilience and Recovery in Education Project (COVID-19-RRREP)”, “Pandemic Response Effectiveness in Pakistan (COVID-19-PREP)” and “Actions to Strengthen Performance for Inclusive and Responsive Education (ASPIRE) in Pakistan”.
Monitoring and reporting of couple of projects including “Attendance Compliance Monitoring of Waseela-e-Taleem of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP)”, “WARSAK Dam Rehabilitation & Community Development Project” and “End Line Survey of Third Tier Organizations (TTOs)/Local Support Organizations (LSOs)” sponsored by the Lahore School of Economics (LSE) and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). This has been achieved remarkably by developing M&E Framework, M&E Plan, Data Collection Tools (Quantitative), Data Collection & Analysis, Field Team Management and Report Writing (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Biannual and Annual).
To ensure effective and smooth implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting of five years “World Bank funded Punjab Cities Governance Improvement Project (PCGIP)” being implemented with the City District Governments, Water & Sanitation Agencies and Municipal Corporations of five mega cities of Punjab including Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan & Rawalpindi. This has been done by developing M&E framework, M&E Plan, Data Collection Tools, High Quality Reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annual and Annual).
Monitoring and reporting of a project “Process Evaluation of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP)” sponsored by the World Bank. This has been carried out by conducting interviews of the BISP officer across Punjab and by conducting beneficiary’s interviews at their doorstep and BISP offices as well by visiting almost all the BISP offices within Punjab province. All the interviews with BISP officers and beneficiaries were reported in the form of Case Studies.
My key role was to mobilize the rural people of district Faisalabad, formation of Community Organizations (COs), disbursement and recovery of Microfinance, monitoring and reporting of small community led Physical Infrastructure schemes and Technical and Vocational Trainings.
