The Directorate of Urban Policy and strategic Planning (DUPSP), Govt of Sindh has engaged consultants to carry out Municipal Finance Assessment Study for 30 District Head Quarter Towns of Sindh, in formation of 04 clusters i.e. North, South, Central, and Karachi. The study undertakes to:
a. Assess municipal finance and services system and its performance and sustainability in the context of the changing socio-economic realities; b. Broaden the knowledge base on municipal fiscal and financial system; c. Increase awareness and build consensus on the need for municipal finance reform; and d. Suggest a municipal finance and services reform agenda.
Deloitte Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants in association with M/s Atif Nazar Private Limited (“the engineering Consultants”) are partner for carrying out study. As per contract, the scope of this study is limited to 30 District Headquarter Municipal entities.
