• Ensuring all hiring are in accordance with the budget and necessary approvals.
• Liaising with hiring managers to understand job requirements and competencies.
• Drafting job advertisements based on the job description of the position.
• Evaluating and identifying staffing strategies and developing diverse candidate pools, setting expectations and keeping hiring manager informed of recruitment status.
• Identifying high-quality candidates through active and passive sourcing via direct channels, job postings, social media, web sourcing, referrals and networking.
• Conducting interviews for all suitable candidates, including administrating AKU's competency-based assessments.
• Assisting with implementation of innovative sourcing strategies to cater to challenging roles in consultation with Global Talent Acquisition Director and/or senior team members.
• Contributing towards building talent pipelines to fill current and future roles.
• Fostering long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
• Assisting with identification and development of sustainable talent acquisition planning and related strategies.
• Preparing and making salary offer maintaining internal parity.
• Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and related employment laws, and new technologies in HR talent management.
• Partnering with the stakeholders, HRBPs and business lines to ensure that talent management and recruitment processes are smooth, including procedures for improving candidate experience.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
• Attending career and college fairs, and similar events to develop future talent pools.
• Collecting and analysing data to create and present KPI reports on talent acquisition.
· Handling end to end talent acquisition process
· Devising and negotiating salaries with the selected candidates
· Supporting Senior Manager, HR in running senior searches and onboarding of Directors, Deans, Heads, Chairs etc. (Local, Repatriates and Expatiates)
· Initiating and running annual performance appraisal process which leads to annual increments and salary adjustments
· Ensuring that salaries/payments of employees are paid timely and accurately through computerized payroll system
· Providing training & support to new employees and junior members of the team
· Processing expenses and reimbursement claims.
· Undertaking calculations relating to payroll queries, overtime, good attendance rewards, leave encashment, medical reimbursements etc.
· Teaming up in order to automate various HR processes
· Working with Senior Manager, HR in carrying out job evaluations in order to determine appropriate job title and level which leads to reclassifications and salary adjustments
· Reviewing and determining personnel cost that are used to prepare budget to apply for various extramural and intramural grants
· Devising consultancy cost of faculty who are selected by entity heads to perform requested assignments by the other national/international institutions
· Serving as a facilitator for AKU Way and HR Orientation programmes
· Process incentive payments, special adjustments/payments pertaining to additional qualifications, responsibilities, etc. in line with approved policies.
· Performing employee exit formalities i.e. full and final settlement, clearance, exit interview.
