Regularly conducting community sensitization and advocacy seminars to improve service utilization at UC level as well as to effectively address misconceptions regarding immunization particularly polio.
Providing technical assistance to EPI Coordinator Office in preparation & implementation of RED/REC micro plans,
Regularly conduct monitoring visits to EPI Centers to monitor access and utilization rates, drop out rates of antigens, timeliness of monthly reports, and provide on the job training during visits to improve the capacity of staff.
Established a functional and case sensitive AFP surveillance system in assigned district
Regularly conducting Active site visits and screening of records is done to ensure that no AFP case is missed from reporting site as well as on-job training is provided to all relevant staff on AFP surveillance as well as on surveillance of other VPDs ( Measles, NNT)
Supporting district in establishing a functional and sensitive surveillance system for COVID19, ILI & SARI
Triangulation and analysis of data received from UCs regarding essential immunization, Extensive outreach activities & SIAs Coverage that is later analyzed and used to formulate district strategy regarding SIAs, EOA & Essential/Routine Immunization
Regularly conducting capacity building workshops of health department and partners staff on VPDs and SIAs depending on programmatic goals as set by NEAP.
Providing technical & operational assistance to District Administration and Health Department through risk assessment exercises epidemiological studies, regular monitoring of SIAs and providing concrete and actionable reports to EOC & District Administration to bring improvement in overall operations
