International Agricultural Value Chain Development Specialist will undertake the following duties:
• Support the FAO Timor-Leste team in mapping, development and capacity building for expansion of value chains for climate resilient and nutrition sensitive agricultural commodities including but not limited to grains and fruits and vegetables in Timor-Leste.
• Lead the value chain feasibility survey and finalize of the report
• Guide National Agriculture Value Chain Development Specialist to identify, map actors of the different segments of the value chains and support/facilitate them to organize into enterprises and business groups and/or establish linkages and partnerships among them.
• Identify the gaps on Agricultural Value Chains and provide possible measures to fill the gaps to sustainable VC development.
• Provide supports for the formation of women and youth-led business groups and women-business groups
• Support in designing business models and business plans for Farmer Groups, Women business groups, women and youth- led business groups
• Support in developing and standardizing the trainings, manuals and guidelines for the farmer groups, women and youth- led business groups and other key actors of the agricultural value chains.
• Provide ToT to FAO staffs, government staffs and service providers on different aspect of Agricultural VC development.
• Conduct field visits, as required, and engage the different actors of the value chains to access their performances and facilitate improvements.
• Development Agriculture Value Chain Development policy concept to MAF for central and municipal levels to strengthen and expand the sustainable agriculture value chains.
• Prepare technical reports on the performances, shortcomings and scope of improvements of the developed value chains
• Prepare an Agriculture Value Chain feasibility review report.

Conduct study on existing status of service delivery at FArm Service Centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Identify gaps in service delivery and recommend way forward for discussion with Government of KPK.

Implemented project activities in Baluchistan including Horticultural and Livestock value chains. Conducted TNA for the stakeholders and supervised progress of Implementing Partners in the province.
