Serve as a backup to the BM.
Counter Services at the Branch with a view to achieving timely and accurate processing of deliverables in
a controlled environment.
Ensure compliance with Bank’s policies and procedures as well as SBP/prudential regulations for smooth
conduct of Branch Operations efficiently and consistently.
Approval and supervision of daily transactions relating to cash and Cheque deposits/withdrawals
including clearing and collection items, maintenance of Security stationary/Drop Box, issuance of PO/DD
etc.
Ownership of compliance, Audit and self-assessment functions including rectification of all discrepancies.
Ensure preparedness of the branch for review and audit by internal/external/SBP Auditors.
Timely and accurate preparation/submission of all returns including KRIs (Key Risk Indicators), Finance,
SBP and others as directed by Head of Branch Operations.
Ensure all expenses are recorded against proper and approved bills and claims/vouchers.
Oversee the account opening process and maintain controls with respect to exceptions through proactive
resolution and follow-ups.
Continuously review risk to the cash area and the safety of the branch, arrange/advise due
precautions/measures for overall safety and integrity.
Arrange insurance coverage for excess cash in premises.
Manage petty cash transitions/replenishment.
Level-Migration of U-Paisa Account (Level-0, Level-1, Level-2, Retailer Account).
Account opening through BVS (Bio-metric Device), Manual Account Opening as well.
Animal Livestock Tagging, expired handling.
TPP Pouches (Gold Loan) Handling, authorization.
FCR (Finance Transactions Receipt) Book handling as well authorizations.
U-Paisa Account (M-Wallet) (Accounts updating, Death Claim, CNIC updating, Verification, Statement
etc.)
Transaction Processing
Responsible for counter services in the branch with a view to achieve timely and accurate processing of deliverables in a personalized environment.
Approval and supervision of daily transactions relating to cash, cheque deposit / withdrawals (including remittance, clearing and collection instruments) Account opening, Loan Processing, Cheque Book issuance, ATM issuance, Dormant/inoperative account, Stop payment etc.
Reconciliation of all cash suspense/sundry accounts on a daily basis.
Checking of system generated reports on a daily basis.
Service Delivery
Managing service delivery - observation of queue time and length / taking action as needed to capacitive serving counters and /or managing customer traffic.
Resolving investigations and inquiries initiated by customers.
Liaise with sales and service staff to ensure that adequate support is provided in facilitating branch's service delivery standards.
Improved service standards and minimum turnaround time.
Responsible for calling to loan customer after completion of all Loan documents
Risk and Control Management
Review of systems and controls on a regular basis, identifying bottlenecks and control weaknesses with a view to achieving improvements in coordination with IT and Operations
Ensuring that branch activities are carried out strictly in accordance with the laid down MMBL SOP, S/ Circulars and SBP guidelines.
Exercising effective dual control over cash along with daily monitoring of cash holding levels to attain optimum holding levels.
Custodian of all relevant Keys (strong room, cash vault, and gold safe) and custodian of cheque books, security stationary/AOF, SS cards Loan documentations, Legal booklets and PDCs.
Maintenance of all registers.
Responsible for supervision of all operations functions like account opening documentation, / Loan documentation and correct input of data in PLUS.
Cash Management
Maintenance of cash over counters and vault within assigned.
As a Branch Manager
Perform/lead assigned staff in conducting financial and non-financial transactions as per the roles defined in the Branch Model Transaction matrix.
Identify and follow up on business acquisition opportunities and managing a prospects list in the branchs catchment area.
Identify and follow up on cross sell leads identified during daily transaction handling. Managing, Coaching & mentoring of staff to achieve above median score for the branch on the CS score card.
