Working as HSE Lead with E& I Department of DESCON Engineering for MIC & Dukhan Zone at QATAR.

My Core Responsibilities are;


• Responsible for developing the HSE Management System and its implementation as per requirements of clients.
• Plan & develop the strategy and action plan for implementation of HSE standards and guidelines in the Company.
• Advice Top Management in term of implementation of HSE procedures in various operations at the field
• Ensuring compliance of safety policies & all legal requirements related to safety of personnel, equipment, environmental regulations and any other prevailing legal requirements.
• Participate in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001:2008 Internal and External Audits.
• Ensure proper storage of material on site and warehouse as per OSHA standard.
• Deep knowledge of HSE documentation as per OHSAS/ BS / ISO standards
• HSE budget estimation for company projects and Provide technical guideline for procurement of HSE equipment.
• Plan HSE related aspects and conduct risk assessments on various company projects.
• Develop and Implement the Waste management system and Setting up Environmental inspection plans for projects.
• Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and Environmental Site Assessments.
• Lead the site management to review Task Risk Assessment (TRA) for critical Jobs for Major Overhauls /Shutdowns.
• Implement the HSE procedures by organizing awareness sessions, trainings on these procedures and arranging other pre-requisites.
• Preparation of contingency plan, emergency evacuation maps and schedule for conducting the emergency Drills/ Mock drills.
• Provides the necessary advice to the employees & contractor’s on job site Health, Safety and environmental issues.
• Ensure the implementation of permit to work (PTW) system and other monitoring system at site as per company policy.
• Monitoring the compliance of health, safety and environmental plan and review as per project requirement.
• Develop a system of recording all incident.

Responsibilities:

• To develop HSE management system; including various HSE procedures and working guidelines to ensure a healthy, safe and environment friendly system of work.
• To identify the needs for Personal Protective Equipment and ensuring their appropriate use at rig site.
• To identify the hazards of H2S gas and safety measures during drilling of Oil & Gas.
• Planning and conducting the safety induction, orientations, training sessions & tool box talks.
• Conducting of emergency Drills (Fire Fighting & H2S).
• Preparation of HSE SOPs, JHA, JSA contingency plan and emergency evacuation map.
• Implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) system during maintenance jobs at Rig Site.
• To arrange for provision of appropriate HSE signs and posters on various workplaces.
• To verify accident reports and carryout investigation in case of any accident and analyze accident data to find out root cause.
• To identify HSE Hazards during Well Casing Cement & perforation Job.
• To identify the HSE Hazards during Mud preparation and awareness to MSDS.
• Handling the most challenging on-shore drilling safety situations including (H2S release , firefighting at drilling site & well control situations)
• Sound knowledge of fire protection system (active & passive protection system)

• Responsible for the implementation of HSE policy of company.
• Ensuring the safe & smooth working of plant by implementing the appropriate rules & regulations.
• Preparation of safety procedures for corrective & preventive maintenance jobs.
• Ensuring the implementation of safety guidelines during black startup, emergency shutdown & annual turn around.
• Monitoring the evaluation of safety rules & regulations by workers.
