• Food and Agriculture clusters identification and identifying competent partners in close coordination with Country Office (CO) and Provincial Offices (POs) whilst supporting the Programme Unit to fulfil due diligence, partnerships, and contracting requirements.
• Agriculture & food Industry research through primary and secondary data source & close liaison with internal and external counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing project activities, including the effective closure of all partnerships. Ensure data management and conduct technical analysis of the assessment reports for timely decisions.
• Providing contracting oversight and support in formal partnerships with Cooperating Partners, specifically partnerships with government departments and public sector organizations

• Report writing (Project Proposals, Business Guides, Sector Reports & Food Standards, Info Packs etc.)
• Lead the Design and implementation of training programs/seminars/workshops aimed at strengthening through capacity development of the food system and business.
• Develop Food Safety training manuals for on job learning to stakeholders
• Technical advice and guidance to Agriculture & Food Business companies on product technical specifications, food safety policy, food processing, fortification, Codex Alimentarius and the food safety and quality management system (FSQMS), Climate Resilient Agriculture and On-farm Water practices
• Technical guidance to Agriculture & Food business companies on the implementation fortification projects.
• Business counseling of new and running Agriculture and Food businesses.
• Developing publications and Information dissemination regarding latest processing techniques.
• Value chain analysis of Agriculture & food industry in Pakistan, and technical inputs into key documents of the Government for the improvement of food systems.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships and communication lines with relevant government offices and representatives, non-government organizations and other United Nations’ agencies, liaising closely with relevant project stakeholders, managing communications and organising and facilitating meetings as needed. (Food Security, climate-resilient, coordination etc)
• Liaise and co-ordinate on regular basis with all relevant stakeholders to develop the synergies and partnerships in the private and public sectors in the context of development of small and medium businesses and applying multisector approach for food safety and security coordination.
• Overall technical support and management of small scale (Chakkis) and large-scale wheat flour fortification programmes in Pakistan.
• Lead the pilot-scale rice fortification programme in close coordination with MATCO, DSM, NFA-PFA and HQ Fortification/commercialization team under the south-south cooperation funding.
• Strengthen national capacity through the provision of technical support and guidance on capital investment so that local small to medium sized millers can produce locally fortified flour for the market in line with national standards.To enhance Food Security and nutrition.
Emergency Response and Preparedness-Flood 2022
• Planning & Development of flood emergency response SME support program in Flood Affected Areas (Rajanpur, Dg Khan and Mianwali), and better information and farming practices will significantly increase resilience to climate change.
• to meet with the relevant provincial departments including Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), industries, food, agriculture and livestock to get information about, the geographical coverage and damage to food businesses assessed by them so far.
• to check from the relevant government departments to know if they are planning to initiate any emergency program for relief and rehabilitation of the damaged food and agriculture businesses in their respective areas.
• to develop and sustain liaison with local government authorities(food and agriculture sector), international and local NGOs, civil societies, UN agencies, donors, beneficiaries and other partners/ media engaged in the flood response activities regarding food business, agriculture and farming.
• Create liaison with rural support programs, NGOS, INGOS, UN for possible flood support.
• Assessment about the existence of industrial and commercial connections in the flood affected areas.
