Project Pharmacist /Pharmacy Supervisor
Working with MSF (OCA) in district Hospital Chaman from 21st October 2013 up to date.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities :


Supervise Stock management, distribution monitoring & follow-up on medical items consumption.
Ensure general functioning of the Pharmacy and Supervise Pharmacy chain processes
Ensure to have an adequate Pharmacy Stock through maintenance of Consumption.
Supervise orders of medical and drug material in order to ensure an efficient and appropriate consumption pattern under budget constraints
Coordinate the delivery, reception and recording of international and local orders.

 Making proper check of expiry dated of medicines
Delivering medicines according to advice of doctors to the patients in Afghan refugees camps and delivering medicines to the units supervisors weekly and 24 hours basis in district hospital chaman
·         Update the stock cards, daily and monthly record keeping
·         TSR (Total stock review) Meeting every month
·         Visit all the units to check the daily and weekly consumption and monitor the medicines
·         Assist the warehouse supervisor with stock management receipt, storage and issuance to projects or other departments of medical supplies and other materials according to the line manager’s instructions and MSF standards, in order to ensure the overall functioning of MSF activities.
·         Give guidance to MSF teams on the medical supply chain including weekly/monthly drugs request from different departments, check in relation to weekly/monthly consumption and propose final order to MTL for approval.
·         Responsible for the monitoring of the expiries of the medical stock ONLY once the stock is out from the main medical stores and organize to get the expired drugs and give them back to logistics for safe disposal.
·         Support team to organize the medical pharmacist with the implementation of daily consumption /stock organize regular and timely drug requests from MSF supported health centers/teams and process requests timely after checking the weekly consumptions in coordination with logistics team.
·         Assist in the preparation of 4 monthly medical forecasts in coordination with medical team leader/medical team in the project.
·         Manage implementation, guidance of staff concerning consumption, request and stock counts.
·         Organize the central pharmacy and other temporary storage sites of medical items and medical (including laboratory services, and ATFP sites) once they left the logistically managed medical stores.
·         Assist with Logistics team in organizing and monitoring the proper functioning of cold chain  systems and inform any breeches to the MTL/MTL-assistant (this is the responsibility of Logs and also any breech has to be reported by field log to capital logs, Pharmacist can give technical support).
·         Ensure the efficient management of end –user Pharmacies according to MSF protocols and instructions.
·         Ensure safe medication practices are embedded into patient care.
Updating consumption tool (CT) on weekly basis



Responsible for Medical Data collection, analysis and reporting to the Medical Focal Point.
Participate in expiatory situation assessment and define medical operational priorities when needed.
Train Staff to work on accurate recording of consumption if required.
Identify excess stock in departments then back to Pharmacy.



Give guidance to MSF teams on the medical supply chain including weekly/monthly drugs request from different departments, check in relation to weekly/monthly consumption and propose final order to MFP for approval.

Support team to organize the medical pharmacies with the implementation of daily consumption /stock card system.

Organize the central pharmacy and other temporary storage sites of medical items and medical (including laboratory services, and ATFP sites) once they left the logistically managed medical stores.
Give on the job trainings to various departments on accurate recording of the consumption figures on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Provide technical supervision and feedback to dispensers in all locations of the project.
Liaise and collaborate with medical and logistic supervisors on day to day activities in order to ensure smooth functioning of the project level supply system.
Responsible for the quality of the daily, weekly and monthly consumption reports in data tool and maintenance of correct updates on regular basis .Over all responsible for the quality of the consumption report coming out of the project to the medical team leader.
Analyze the consumption figures in relation to weekly/monthly stock outs from logistic main store, estimated monthly medical consumption and morbidity data and give feedback to the team concerned.
Attend monthly TSR (Total Stock Review) meeting with logistics and give medical inputs on the expiry control, use of overstock items, potentially rupture items, comparison of real medical consumption versus estimated monthly consumption and give feedback to the logistics.

Worked with AL-Khidmat Al-Hajeri Hospital Sariab Road Quetta from 8th October 2004 to 8th October 2013.

Worked with MSF (OCA) in their chaman Afghanistan project from 1st October 2003 to 25th Sep 2004.

Worked with Mercy Malaysia with the collaboration of AL-Khidmat AL-Hajeri in Boldak Hospital Afghanistan Form 1st Feb 2002 to 15th Sep 2003
