Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementation of the project activities Shelter:
Manage and implement the technical activities on the field;
Have a complete understanding of the project implemented;
Plan construction / rehabilitation activities according to project objectives time-frames and designs.
Supervise and provide guidance and technical support to other field teams;
Support and supervise daily skilled and unskilled workers / project volunteers and give them useful instruction regarding their work improvement, through coordination with the relevant skilled staff;
Providing technical guidance, training and support to individuals targeted by each project in line with the programme strategy and intended output[s];
Ensure on time completion of the tasks in line with BoQs and designs;
Report to the Civil Engineer on a daily basis about progress and challenges faced;
Liaising with programme staff of other ACTED teams to ensure that information is shared and that lessons learned are developed.
Directly fix and repair damaged installations or facilities.
Participate in the elaboration of designs and BoQs when required.
Support community mobilizers and village steering committees in the identification and verification of skilled labourers.
Supervise the unloading of the material on site as well as quality and quantity of the items
2. WASH Activity:
Lead and guide ACTED’s technical interventions in the base. Ensure that planned activities are successfully implemented according to quality standards.
In collaboration with the programme team and coordination, determine the strategic direction of the programme in the short and medium term and map out activities, and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and budgets;
Prepare Bills of Quantities and Designs as required by programmes.
Collaborate effectively with other line managers and the coordination team.
Manage the programme team. Ensure that they are wholly involved in programme planning and direction.
Collaborate with the Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (AMEU) to assess need, monitor activities, and evaluate programme progress. Ensure that lessons learned in the course of implementation are integrated into the programme to ensure that it remains responsive and relevant.
Provide input and regularly review all FLAT Follow-Up for ongoing programmes together with the relevant department manager and Programme Coordinator;
Be alert to opportunities arising for learning, collaboration and partnership that may enhance programme quality and responsiveness.
Provide relevant technical expertise/guidance to ensure that technical quality and standards are maintained during project implementation
Identify and interact with existing WASH initiatives in the base, including UN, GO’s and NGO’s, and community initiatives.
3. Documentation
Fill, Check & control daily Workers attendance sheet on daily basis;
Ensure construction logbook and other documentation requested by the line manager is correctly completed.
Control that construction materials and tools are used properly, and complete waybills to accompany any movement of stock/tools between locations in the field / between the base and field.

A. Mobilization and Organization of the beneficiary communities.
• Receive training on the project concept and approach to the community mobilization.
• Contact the opinion leaders in the communities to establish early rapport and to provide overall orientation of the project.
• With the support of opinion leaders mobilize, interact and dialogue with individuals representing beneficiary for the organization of community for development.
• Provide orientation training to the members of community to raise awareness about the project
• Facilitate small and large community meetings to encourage discussions.
B. Obtaining information related to the beneficiary communities
• Obtain community data necessary for preparing community profiles as per the standard “Community Profile” format of the project.
• Conduct baseline survey of the beneficiaries to establish baseline data of the community on some key indicators to measure impact of the projects.
• Provide necessary reporting inputs to the monitoring and evaluation officer as per the standard monitoring formats on regular basis.
C. Reporting and Linkages
• Assist Program Manager in development of a clear work plan for the community mobilization activities of the projects with the aim to complete the activities within the time frame of the project.
• Ensure field-testing of the various phase of social mobilization materials as they are developed and provide feedback.
• Capture success stories and lessons learned in each phase of program implementation.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly report on standard, monthly reporting formats.

• Responsible for implementing behaviour change methodology for the Nutrition, Food Security and WASH
• Ensuring appropriate community involvement and delivery of essential Nutrition, Food Security and WASH service s and facilities.
• Ensuring positive acceptance of ACF in the area of interventions
• Identification, training and management community volunteers
• To implement of capacity building training for communities and CBOs, WSCs and VPCs collaborating with the ACF field team in the identification of training needs, the definition of training subjects and material and the implementation of the training;
• Development of hygiene, nutrition, food diversity promotion topics, and sessions and support for IEC materials designing and development.
• Community sensitization on the program objectives and methods to stimulate & eventually promote the understanding and participation of the target population. Community sensitization starts at village- and Community-leader levels and eventually extends to the entire population
• Establish link and meetings with the community leaders and different group existing in the working area.
• To facilitate to community mobilization, meeting and training during community led (FSL) Food Security & Lively hood activities
