I Dr.Veena Kumari did MBBS from Sindh Medical College Karachi,Masters in Public Health from Baqai Medical University Karachi, now studyiing PHD in Nutrition and Food Technology at University of Sindh Jamshoro Hyderabad,I Got GPA 3.8 /4 in the samester .Near future going to start PHD research project in Karachi

I have been involved in Medical Profession with significant experience, radical knowledge of multiple fields of medicine and surgery, public Health, research. I have about 13 years experience in Health Management and public Health enthusiastic about applying new skills, enhancing current professional expertise, and applying transferable skill etc.
I am energetic and experienced public health professional, work has covered many subjects with particular emphasis on Nutritional Malpractices, water, sanitation and hygiene, gender, anthropology, community mobilisation and capacity building, environment and development well acquainted with public health concepts like , program ,designing, planning, management , training, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, research, data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting, policy analysis advocacy in collaboration with individuals and groups.
I have been engaged in Community Healthy surveys, out breaks, investigations and disease surveillance and providing services for poor and unhealthy community in emergency situations. I am fully familiarized with the core competences for Public Health Professionals.
I have been determined to devote my time and extra effort to work for Achievements and progress of the organization.

• To increase my Knowledge and Experience in different Aspects as Health, water and Sanitation, Nutrition, Hygiene and child health, maternal health care, Family planning.
• Conduct survey and identify health related problems ,collect information and intervention within the community.
• Capacity building for water and sanitation at community level, especially in relation to promotion of effective hygiene and sanitation.
• We are focused on community wide campaigning, facilitative discussion programme , schools-based programmes like child health education including Nutrition, safe drinking water, hand washing including audio visual materials, leaflets, Posters.
• General hygiene awareness raising programmes.
• To develop IEC material is audio-visual, pictorial , group discussion.
• Training of families raise awareness knowledge regarding why water is unsafe.
• In semi urban and rural areas in Karachi there was an lack of awareness regarding the link between disease and safe water practices and contamination of water during collection, storage and consumption, open toilets, unhygienic practices.
• Through BCC to promote positive behaviors and understand that having safe drinking water will save them from water borne diseases (Diarrhea + Dysentry) and having to pay doctors fees and boiling their drinking water at home for zero cost.
