We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning & Cost Control Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management for large-scale civil or mechanical engineering projects. (Saudi Aramco & Neom Projects) The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project controls, Primavera P6, and cost forecasting in the construction or engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop, implement, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contract milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align schedules.
- Identify risks and delays, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Establish project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct cost forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to senior management.
- Implement cost control procedures to prevent cost overruns and enhance profitability.
- Work closely with procurement and contract teams to optimize cost structures.
Project Controls & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain project dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, standards, and best practices.
- Analyze project KPIs and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency.
Risk Management & Claims:
- Identify and assess risks related to planning, cost, and contracts.
- Provide support for claims management, including delay analysis and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate with legal and commercial teams for claim preparation and resolution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 20 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost control in construction or engineering projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost control software.
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), WBS, and cost control principles.
- Experience in managing large infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional)
- CCP (Certified Cost Professional)
