- Design, plan and implement and execute purchasing strategies.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes more efficient.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
- Evaluate purchasing policies and reviews all purchase orders.
- Buying goods and services for the company at lower cost.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
- Search and source potential suppliers, vendors and reliable partners
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors and negotiate the best price
- Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders
- Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary
