The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, assisting in budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in accounting, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software.
Prepare invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Process payments, verify financial data, and reconcile bank statements.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
Support external audits and assist with internal controls.
Manage petty cash and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Communicate with clients, vendors, and other departments regarding financial transactions.
Prepare and submit tax documents (e.g., VAT, WHT) as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in an accounting or finance role (1–3 years preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
