Reporting To: Programs & Implementation Manager

Location: Islamabad

About RADS: Research and Development Solutions (RADS) is a Pakistan-based M&E, Research and Technical Assistance/Consultancy organization. Our team expertise includes public health specialists, social scientists, Infectious Disease and MNCH-FP researchers, epidemiologists, statisticians, economists, advocacy and policy experts, and survey management. Since 2010, RADS has worked in 120+ districts of Pakistan with national and international donors, governments, and civil society partners.

RADS provides quality primary and secondary research, 360-degree survey and data management, scientifically standardized analysis, third-party monitoring, and impact evaluation services along with short-term technical assistance and consultancy

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing large grants, fundraising, and business development within the nonprofit sector. The candidate must have strong connections with donor organizations, international bodies, and corporations, enabling them to strategize and execute targeted funding initiatives aligning with our mission to expand our client and work with donor-funded projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Steward the organization's strategic plan, providing leadership in assessing opportunities and guiding business decisions.

• Work with RADS leadership at multiple levels to develop business strategies, annual and multi-year plans, including revenue targets to meet new business development and diversification goals.

• Provide oversight over the development of win strategies, partner strategies, and pricing strategies for specific competitive proposals.

• Advance global partnerships that align with organizational objectives.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including foundations, government agencies, corporations, and individual philanthropists.

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure significant grants and donations.

• Research, identify, and pursue new funding opportunities through grant applications, proposals, and partnerships.

• Lead the development of compelling grant proposals and applications that meet donor requirements and align with organizational objectives.

• Provide strategic advice and guidance on fundraising strategies to the executive team and board members.

• Collaborate with program managers to ensure that funding proposals are aligned with programmatic goals and impact metrics.

• Monitor and report on fundraising progress, ensuring targets are met and adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Development Consultant or similar role within the nonprofit sector, specifically in grant-making and fundraising.

• Demonstrated success in securing large grants from diverse funding sources.

• Strong network and connections within the donor community, including foundations, international organizations, and corporate partners.

• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive grant proposals and presentations.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze funding trends and opportunities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in business administration, Nonprofit Management, International Relations, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10-13 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or grant-making for non/for-profit organizations.

• Proven track record of successfully securing and managing large grants.
