Project Officer / Team Leader

SIF is currently seeking a Project Officer/team Leader with expertise for the management of food security and livelihood program in Chitral, KP. The project is foreseen to provide enterprise and livelihood assistance for the affected communities of Chitral.

General Objective:

The Project Officer is responsible for developing and implementing the livelihood/enterprise development program according to shared objectives of SIF and WFP.

Essential Functions:

Project Coordination and implementation: In collaboration and according to the objectives fixed with;

Develop strategies/methods and implement the activities related to the Food Security/livelihood project in accordance with the donor specifications, timeframe and budget allocated.
Conducting regular monitoring Field visits of SIF targeted Project areas.
Provide orientations on project as per proposals to staff members internally and externally as and when needed.
Ensure effectiveness of project activities on weekly/ monthly basis and submit weekly/ monthly, Progress reports as per set indicators and targets of project.
Provide support and guidance to other SIF staff to assist in their capacity-building activities.

Reporting

Timely submission of daily and weekly Progress updates to the Project Officer/Team Leader.
Compile and maintain proper record keeping of Project activities in hard files and soft databases.
Responsible for maintaining a record of internal and external communication including emails, letters, purchase requisitions and other relevant documents.
Document success stories, case studies and other reporting documents as required by the project manager.

Competencies:

Ideally experience in the field of livelihood, resilience and DRR.
English: fluent with excellent writing capacities (local language Pashto are advantages)
Strong capacity of analyse
Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Position Type/Working Hours: This is a full-time position. Working hours are 40 per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
