Key Responsibilities:

Design, deliver, and assess undergraduate and/or postgraduate level courses in relevant areas of Biosciences (e.g., Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Ecology).
Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions.
Supervise student projects, including research projects and dissertations.
Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and university-wide activities.
Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and professional development.
Provide academic and pastoral support to students.
Maintain accurate records of teaching, research, and administrative activities.

Qualifications:

Masters or Equivallent in a relevant field of Biosciences (e.g., Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Ecology).
Proven teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Strong research and publication record in a relevant area of Biosciences.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in using relevant laboratory techniques and software.
Commitment to high-quality teaching and student learning.

Pedagogical Skills: Effective teaching methodologies, curriculum development, assessment design, student mentoring, and supervision.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Subject Matter Expertise: In-depth knowledge in a specific area of Biosciences.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Laboratory Skills: Proficiency in relevant laboratory techniques and the ability to guide students in laboratory experiments.
Professionalism: Maintain professional standards, ethical conduct, and commitment to lifelong learning.
