Project Engineer will be responsible to supervise the repair/rehabilitation work in Jacobabad district as well as support & supervise the construction and repair work in dadu & khairpur. The Project Engineer will directly supervise the two assistant engineers positioned in dadu and khairpur and will serve as focal person for entire hard component of the project.

Main Responsibilities:

Identification of schools which require repair/rehabilitation work in targeted districts in coordination with field staff
Assist the team of engineers in developing Bill of Quantities (BoQs) for the selected sites, keeping in view the budget limits.
Coordination with district education office, local support unit and education works and services department with respect to selection of schools and acquire No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) to start repair work.
Supervise the team of engineers in identification of schools, development of BoQs, tendering process, and repair and rehabilitation work.
Perform quality control checks, inspect materials and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards to ensure repair work is delivered to the required quality standards.
He/She will supervise construction activities, manage construction workers, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and monitor progress at multiple project target districts.
He/She will be responsible for preparing and maintaining project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
He/She will liaise with various stakeholders, such as donors, district government, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure effective communication and management of any issues or conflicts that arise.
Responsible for the repair/rehabilitation and construction of schools in all targeted districts.

Other:

Participate in professional development training as identified and approved by SPO
Carry out any other activities as assigned by the supervisor.
Undertakes any other task assigned by the supervisor.
