We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to support our client's dental practice with various administrative and clinical tasks including medical billing and coding for treatments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, previous experience working remote for a US based medical practice, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is vital to maintaining the smooth operation of our client's dental practice and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Candidates MUST possess the following to qualify:
- At least 1 year of experience working remote for a US or Canada based company
- Graduate of post-secondary education (Bachelors, BS, MS, etc.)
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Remote working capabilities (High-quality stable internet connection, Microphone, Camera)
Preferred candidates will have:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a virtual medical assistant / medical biller / coding specialist for a US or Canada based medical practice
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling
- Manage insurance billing and coding of treatments
- Handle patient and insurance inquiries via phone and email
- Update and maintain patient records in system
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Prepare and send out medical correspondence
- Provide administrative support to the medical team as needed
Virtual Medical Assistant Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding
