You will play a crucial role in our sales team by engaging with potential customers over the phone, building rapport, and closing sales. You will be responsible for effectively communicating the value proposition of our products/services, addressing any questions or concerns, and guiding customers through the purchasing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to prospective customers from provided leads or databases.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Present product/service offerings and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value proposition.
  • Overcome objections and address concerns to persuade customers to make a purchase.
  • Close sales and achieve weekly/monthly targets and quotas.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to optimize sales strategies and processes.

  • Route Planning and Optimization:

    • Plan efficient routes for trucks to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel costs and travel time.
    • Adjust routes as needed based on traffic, weather conditions, or unforeseen delays.
  • Dispatch Coordination:

    • Assign trucks and drivers to deliveries based on factors such as location, schedule, and type of freight.
    • Communicate effectively with drivers to provide directions, updates, and instructions throughout their trips.
  • Communication and Customer Service:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, clients, and vendors regarding shipment status, delays, or issues.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Tracking and Monitoring:

    • Use GPS and tracking software to monitor the progress of trucks and shipments.
    • Provide real-time updates to clients and internal stakeholders on shipment status and estimated arrival times.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and driver schedules.
    • Ensure all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and shipping documents, are complete and processed correctly.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or marketing is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales or telemarketing, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
