You will play a pivotal role in shaping students' understanding and proficiency in computer science concepts and skills. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering interactive lectures, and fostering a supportive learning environment conducive to student growth and development.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with educational standards and tailored to the needs and abilities of students in grades 6-8.
- Deliver effective instruction using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and multimedia presentations.
- Teach fundamental computer skills.
- Foster problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities by challenging students with real-world computing tasks and projects.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, with clear expectations for behavior and participation.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and assignments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning, address individual needs, and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Prior teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
