Position Overview: UOBI invites applications for the position of Lecturer for its BSc Hons Computing (Cyber Security) program. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about Cyber Security education and has the potential to make significant contributions to the academic and intellectual life of our Computer Sciences department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver engaging and effective lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various subjects to BSc Hons Computing (Cyber Security) students. Develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with the latest legal developments and academic standards. Design and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
- Research and Scholarship: Conduct high-quality, original research in the field of Cyber Security, leading to publications in reputable journals. Actively engage in academic scholarship, presenting research findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars. Supervise and mentor students in their research projects.
- Academic Advising: Provide academic guidance and support to BSc Hons Computing (Cyber Security) students, assisting them with course selection, career planning, and other academic matters. Foster a conducive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Administrative Duties: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the BSc Hons Computing (Cyber Security) program's academic policies, objectives, and assessments. Serve on departmental and university committees as needed.
- Community Engagement: Establish and maintain professional networks withing the Games Programming community and foster partnerships with relevant organizations and associations.
Qualification & Experience:
- First Class MS/MPhil degree in the relevant field form an HEC recognized university with no 3rd division in the academic career and 02 years of teaching experience in HEC recognized university or 04 years of professional experience in the relevant field in a reputed national/international organization.
- Candidates having UK based qualifications and/or having teaching experience at a UK based / affiliated educational institute will be given preference.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
