We are seeking a Senior Email Deliverability Specialist to join our team. This is a remote, full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our email marketing campaigns and maintaining our platform's reputation. As an Email Deliverability Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing email delivery rates, managing sender reputations, and implementing best practices to ensure our clients' messages reach their intended recipients. This role requires a deep understanding of email infrastructure, authentication protocols, and industry standards. The remote nature of this position allows for close collaboration with our development and marketing teams, fostering a dynamic work environment where you can directly impact the success of our platform and our clients' campaigns.     Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize email deliverability rates
  • Monitor and analyze email performance metrics to identify and resolve deliverability issues
  • Manage and optimize sender reputation across multiple IP addresses and domains
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure email compliance and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in email deliverability
  • Provide expert guidance on email authentication protocols and infrastructure setup
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major ISPs and email providers

Role & responsibilities :

  • Implement and maintain robust SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations for optimal email authentication
  • Develop and execute IP warm-up strategies for new sending infrastructures
  • Monitor and manage sender reputation across multiple IP pools and domains
  • Implement and optimize IP pool rotation strategies to maintain high deliverability rates
  • Conduct regular audits of email content and infrastructure to ensure compliance with anti-spam laws and industry best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major ISPs and email providers to resolve deliverability issues and ensure whitelisting
  • Implement and manage feedback loops with ISPs to monitor and address spam complaints
  • Analyze email performance metrics and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement new features that enhance email deliverability
  • Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams and clients on email deliverability best practices
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting email deliverability
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on email infrastructure, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices
  • Implement and manage automated monitoring systems to detect and alert on deliverability issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis on deliverability problems and implement corrective measures
  • Optimize email authentication and encryption protocols to enhance the security and trustworthiness of outgoing emails

Required Software Knowledge  

  • Email authentication and validation tools (e.g., OpenDMARC, OpenSPF)
  • Email delivery testing platforms (e.g., 250ok, Return Path, GlockApps)
  • Email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, SendGrid, Amazon SES)
  • DNS management tools
  • IP reputation monitoring tools
  • Email analytics and reporting software
  • Docker and container orchestration tools

Good to have:

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation
  • Familiarity with email rendering tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid)
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms for spam detection and prevention
