As the Chief Architect, you will be responsible for leading and managing all operations related to commercial and residential site architecture. This position is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of architectural projects while maintaining high standards of design, functionality, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of architects, designers, and drafters, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
• Oversee the design and development of commercial and residential sites, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints, and translate them into actionable architectural solutions.
• Conduct site visits, assessments, and evaluations to gather relevant data and insights, informing the design process and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the architectural department, leveraging emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to enhance efficiency, productivity, and outcomes.
• Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and external partners, negotiating contracts, resolving disputes, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services.
• Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, building codes, zoning laws, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide strategic direction and vision for the architectural department, setting goals, defining priorities, and developing strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to senior management, highlighting project status, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and professional growth among team members.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional licensure as an architect (RA) is required.
• Proven experience (15 years) in architectural design and project management, with a focus on commercial and residential sites.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
• Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
