FUNCTION: IDT Compliance

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of the BAT Digital Business (DBS) Compliance team supporting for IDT Services to meet its risk & controls compliance obligations including SOx and GDPR/Data Privacy. While this position is an influencing role and does not have direct operational management over the execution of compliance, it has crucial responsibilities in Compliance space and the scope covers entire IDT Services and Technology delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Nurture a culture of simplification and efficiency.
• Build partnership relationships across IDT to support the delivery of IDT Services & Technology delivery compliance objectives.
• Understand the end-to-end IDT operational current state, landscape and accountabilities in order to ensure meaningful and agile compliance.
• Demonstrable leadership of the team driving for high quality IDT compliance outcomes.
• Provide immediate oversight of IDT compliance and give IDT management visibility of current levels of Risk & IT general controls compliance, including SOx, GDPR and operational compliance, including the status of all activities required to resolve compliance issues.
• Ensure that compliance issues within the IDT Services & Technology delivery organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
• Manage day to day control operation tracking.
• Own the IDT Services & Technology delivery compliance management processes, tools, training and documentation and ensure that these continue to be fit for purpose.
• Manage the IT s Simply SOx Hub and its contents.
• Operationally manage all touchpoints between IDT and compliance partners including IDT Security and Compliance, BCT, internal audit, and external audit.
• Act as a center of expertise on IDT Services & Technology delivery compliance in support of the team compliance obligations.
• Monitor compliance to understand trends and identify areas where improvement can be made.
• Manage ongoing compliance improvement activities.
• Coordinate the IDT Services & Technology delivery response to changes in compliance scope, including control design changes; RACM changes; scope changes; system changes; and vendor changes.
• Coordinate the IDT involvement in IT Cycle Testing.
• Promote a strong code of ethics and integrity in IDT.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Degree Educated, with post graduate work experience in an IT Services & Delivery environment and /or business facing IT role
• Experience in managing operational compliance for a large, multi-national organization and /or audit background
• Experience in implementing GDPR/Data Privacy compliance for a large corporation
• Strong stakeholder and risk management skills
• Experience in leading, influencing, and operating in a complex geographical/ functional matrix organization
• Breadth of knowledge of standard methodology IT Service Management
