Overseeing the import/export process from start to finish, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation logistics.
Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, customs laws, and other legal requirements to avoid penalties and delays.
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth transactions and timely delivery of goods.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities in import/export processes, negotiating shipping rates, and optimizing freight routes to minimize expenses.
Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, and coordinating shipments to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory costs.
Assessing and mitigating risks associated with international trade, such as currency fluctuations, geopolitical tensions, and transportation delays.
Ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and export/import licenses, and maintaining records for audit purposes.
Conducting market research to identify potential import/export opportunities, analyzing market trends, and staying informed about changes in trade policies and regulations.
Providing support to customers regarding import/export inquiries, resolving issues related to shipments, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Liaising with internal teams (such as sales, finance, and logistics) and external stakeholders (such as customs authorities, shipping companies, and suppliers) to coordinate import/export activities effectively.
