Hamdard University is a federally chartered university of Pakistan. It has a main campus spread over 350 acres besides 2 city campuses at Karachi and one at Islamabad with 8 faculties, a student population over 7,000, and more than 300 faculty members, Hamdard University is the largest private sector general university in Pakistan. Hamdard University has laid special emphasis over engineering, sciences, technologies, medicine and law, especially information technology. Hamdard Education Net (HEN), Regional Cisco Networking Academy, Information Technology Solutions are some of the special initiatives taken up by the university in the IT and Technological domain under the umbrella of Hamdard University Research and Consultancy Consortium (HURCCON).
