Electrical Designer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Underground and Overhead Designer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing electrical distribution systems for both underground and overhead projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, excellent design capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical distribution systems for underground and overhead applications.
Create detailed electrical schematics, plans, and drawings using AutoCAD software.
Perform load calculations and voltage drop assessments to ensure system reliability.
Coordinate with utility companies, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations (AS/NZS Standards)
Examine site visits and surveys data and assess project feasibility.
Provide technical support and guidance during the construction and installation phases.
Stay current with advancements in electrical design technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in designing electrical distribution systems for underground and overhead applications will be preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
