WordPress Developer / SEO Expert

We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer + SEO Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise to build and maintain WordPress websites while implementing SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. You will collaborate closely with the content, marketing, and design teams to create optimized, high-performance websites that meet business goals.

Responsibilities:

WordPress Development:

Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
Modify and customize existing themes, ensuring compatibility with SEO best practices.
Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Ensure website performance, security, and scalability by regularly updating the WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress sites as required.
Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues that may arise on WordPress websites.
Manage website hosting, backups, and server maintenance when needed.
Collaborate with designers to translate mockups and wireframes into functional WordPress sites.

SEO Strategy:

Perform comprehensive keyword research to inform content strategy and on-page optimization.
Optimize on-page SEO elements such as title tags, meta descriptions, image alt tags, and URL structure.
Manage and execute off-page SEO strategies, including link-building, outreach, and guest blogging opportunities.
Conduct technical SEO audits to ensure proper site indexing, structured data implementation, and mobile optimization.
Ensure fast website load times by optimizing images, minifying CSS/JavaScript, and using caching strategies.
Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
Create and implement local SEO strategies, including optimizing Google My Business profiles and local citations.
Stay updated with the latest algorithm changes, SEO trends, and best practices to keep the websites competitive.

Requirements:

Proven experience (3+ years) as a WordPress Developer and SEO Expert.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL for WordPress development.
Extensive knowledge of WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Experience using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
Experience with website optimization for speed and mobile responsiveness.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Good understanding of content marketing principles and their relationship with SEO.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and how they impact SEO.
Knowledge of schema markup, JSON-LD, and rich snippets.
Experience in managing large-scale WordPress websites.
