Serve customers by selling products.
Service existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call/meet with existing or potential customers.
Greet potential customers, listen to their needs and problems, and steer them toward products that can help them to address their needs.
Adjust the sales presentations by studying the type and needs of the potential customer.
Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
Keep management informed by submitting activity and result reports, such as daily activity reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual sales analyses.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and delivery schedules.
Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Work with marketing and other departments to constantly improve customer-facing communications and product information by sharing client feedback gained in the field.
