Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage ELV engineering team and oversee on-site practices.
- Oversee IT, Telecom, ELV, Electronic Security, and Fire Alarm system designs for client and authority approval.
- Chair coordination meetings with contractors to ensure design implementation.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure satisfactory installation standards.
- Liaise with Local Authority Departments for project approvals.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers.
- Review design for IT, Telecom, ELV, Security, and Fire Alarm services.
- Participate in design review meetings and workshops.
- Prepare meeting records, design reviews, and progress reports.
- Liaise with suppliers/contractors to ensure compliance with client standards.
- Coordinate with design managers for project close-out work.
- Validate and check design drawings for IT/Communications and Security systems during construction.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Expert knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple reviews and deadlines.
- Adaptive to changing demands.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment.
- Ability to evaluate new approaches and design solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in standard engineering practices and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills for planning and scheduling.
- Proficient in using computers for engineering calculations.
- Broad knowledge of precedents and practices in related specialties.
- This position is SMP-based.
