We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team in Islamabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, managing and resolving complex IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of various IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • Provide expert-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support end-users by addressing and resolving technical inquiries via phone, email, and in person.

System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Oversee user account management, including Active Directory, email accounts, and access permissions.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and support procedures.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures.

Mentorship and Training:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT support staff.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on new software and IT policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.

Salary:

Gross Salary Range is Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 130,000 per month, inclusive of all allowances.
