My job responsibilities were to design hardware and write firmware for Slot machines player tracking systems from prototype to real world design.
Tools and Technologies
Most of the development involves slot machines and making custom boards for interfacing with slot machines for accounting and player tracking purposes. Following are major tools and technologies that I used:
• TFT LCD Touch screens for GUI
• MPLABX IDE for firmware development for PIC32mx series microcontrollers
• Altium Design Suite for Schematic entry and PCB Designing
• Proteus ISIS for Simulation
• Field Programming using SD Card Boot loaders
To develop firmware for PIC18 microcontrollers for different kinds of applications like ADC, RTC, RS232 communications, external EEPROM interfacings and thermal printer interfacings.
