degradation pattern of textile wastewater by Sono-electrolytic reactor and trickling filter

The research study was conducted to evaluate the potential applicability of biological trickling filter system and sono-electrolytic process for the treatment of textile wastewater which contains strong color, high temperature, suspended and dissolved solids, biological oxygen demand (BOD), high Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) which causes damage to the environment and human health. The percentage removal efficiency for the treatment of textile wastewater by using sono-electrolytic reactor was found to be higher than 95 at temperature level of 25C and a pH of 8.9. While for trickling filter having adsorbent as a filter medium, it was found to be 95, optimum conditions obtained were applied for the treatment of different dyes sample. Based on the experimental results it can be concluded that treatment through SER yields degradation faster than trickling filter because in TF the adsorbent capacity decreases with time and is a time-consuming process, but the chance of deposition on electrodes also increases in SER so both these process can yield better results if these problems are eliminated.
