From Public Sector Organization I switched to private sector organization and from Corporate culture I reached to a purely commercial setup where every decision is based on one question “what is in it for me” here I have gained an experience of 3 years during which I organized managed and monitored almost every business activity pertaining to Commercial, Financial, Accounting, Banking, Procurement, Administration, Logistics, Sales and Marketing.
The experience can be quantified and evaluated from the following lines,
 I looked after business process that was handling at an average 5000 annual RFQs received for 200 clients from 6 various industrial sectors (Cement, Thermal power, Oil and Gas, Fertilizer, Chemical, Paper and pulp). Against which at an annual average of 3000 offers were submitted, and this activity was generating an inflow of 600 purchase orders per year.
 Orders were executed either from Stock, Local Market (Pakistan), Principal Products (for whom this company had the distribution rights) or imported from various trade partners across the globe. The orders received are placed with two different delivery terms a) FOR basis b) C & F basis.
 To handle these orders, we need to place 300 foreign purchase orders which could have been in 5 different currencies i.e., USD, Euro, GBP, AED and Singapore Dollars.
 This activity generated further requirement of logistic support with the monthly average of 10 to 15 shipment movements from different parts of the world to Pakistan. This logistic support is obtained from 40 national and international based freight forwarders and a warehousing facility in Germany.

This exposure has given me a very unique opportunity to work closely with international professionals and also had an opportunity to attend a one-week training workshop at Bangkok in year 2009.

Joined SNGPL in 1994 and served billing department on public dealing counter to serve Consumers with bills correction and issuance of duplicate bills, then took charge of Collection Account reconciliation of Lahore region by submitting monthly reconciliations to Head office while taking care of 80 bank branches of one bank and records of 80,000 consumers.

Promoted to Executive Cader in 1998 as Procurement Officer managed and looked after procurement needs of the organization from local markets and suppliers.
Remained part of bid evaluation team for evaluation and recommendation of high value tenders.

During this period experiences are:
 Complete process of procurement and learned to interact with the internal departments and outside world.
 Next opportunity for me was in Accounts department where I took up the assignment of SNGPL Gas Bills Collection account and Security Deposit Account and managed to reconcile these two accounts on monthly basis involving cash inflow of more than Rs. 7 billion per month through a banking system consisting of 12 main banks and total network of 2000 bank branches, in this process I had the help of 16 members team at head office and 100 other members divided into 8 regional and 6 sub-regional teams.
 The worth mentioning achievement which I accomplished was to reduce the funds transit time (consumer paid into any branch of the Pakistan and reached to SNGPL Disbursement account) from 7 working days to 2 working days and in some cases instant receipt was achieved.
Then became part of Oracle Implementation Team and implemented Oracle Financial and being in-charge of Assets section was responsible to supervise the process of transformation of conventional Fixed Assets Register to Fixed Assets Module.
 Being the in-charge the most difficult and challenging job, I had to complete was to make available opening balances of Assets Cost Accounts and Accumulated Depreciation with in a very short time, and did successfully.
