Ensure efficient and effective implementation of project activities including DRR Cash based intervention, and related interventions at the district level
Take the lead to sensitize the communities for DRR and mainstreaming in project activities.
Lead the DRR and resilience-building initiatives in the HA projects
Provide strategic and innovative solutions for building more efficient, coordinated, and reliable preparedness and response systems
Take the lead identification of and liaison with key stakeholders who can contribute to broadening and deepening the DRR agenda in the project;
Contribute to the integration and adaptation of international DRR terminology and approaches in the project areas
Undertake field visits for monitoring & implementation of program activities.
Initiate contacts with potential target stakeholders & communities and schools, by visiting villages and meeting with residents, key persons (religious leaders, school teachers, etc.), existing Village Development Committees (VDCs), appointed representatives, focus groups (youth, women, elderly), and any other relevant person.
Set up criteria for the identification and selection of interventions for FFA participants both communal and individual NFIs and Non-NFIs schemes and capacity building activities including Disaster preparedness trainings.
To develop the training materials, Community training plans and delivery of DRR related trainings at district & community level.
Collect the information on DRR and resilience building through questionnaires, transect walks, physical observation and any other information collection techniques.
Follow, supervise and monitor the implementation of the DRR related structural and capacity building activities in the field, as requested by the PM or the heads of the support units (Operations, Finance, MEAL, etc.)
Address and solve problems that might arise between the community and Project teams, or among community members, during and because of the implementation of the project activities.
Assess and report on community needs with the rest of the team to achieve objectives of project.
Incorporate participatory principles into community level to ensure emergency response activities.
Promote and motivate inclusive participation by villagers/ elders and community representatives, in all project activities, taking care to assist cooperation with regard to gender, political, ethnic, and other factors.
Support and facilitate donor visits during the implementation of project, support and lead donor briefings with a special focus on DRR activities and the impact the have created for the communities in which project is implemented.
Document success stories, case studies and other reporting documents as required by the project coordinator.
Performed other tasks assigned by the management.

Lead CCCM activities at hub level and support Roving Coordinator with coordination and monitoring of CCCM activities in the hub, and provide inputs towards IOM and the sector’s priorities and strategies, proposal development, appeals, etc.
Support District Focal Points in engaging with Deputy Commissioner’s Office and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination for managing displacement, access to referral services and information, includes monitoring of displacement and return situation in the district.
Build and develop capacities of district level focal points through trainings, on-the-job mentoring, and sharing of best practices. Ensure district focal points are up to date on the use of Minimum Standards for camp management, common reporting tools, referral services and information, etc.
Coordinate and monitor CCCM activities at hub level, working with District Focal Points to prioritize and address needs and raising concerns and requests to the program manager.
Participate in relevant hub/district level coordination fora, highlight the hub’s priority need and gap for managing displacement and support to return. Raising gaps that cannot be addressed up to Karachi and Islamabad level. Facilitate and lead coordination on displacement and returns as required/relevant.
Promote consistent use of common tools for site level information collection on services available (3W), population needs and composition, and collate site information at hub level including sex- and age-disaggregated data.
Share information with all relevant stakeholders, in manner that upholds the principle of data protection and confidentiality. Maintain regular contact with district focal points and provide updates to the program, sector and information manager.
Support contingency planning efforts based on worst-case and most likely scenarios in terms of population movements as required and/or relevant.
Provide regular updates and reports to roving Coordinator, and provincial focal point(s) on key concerns, challenges and priorities in the hub, or upon request.
Any other duties as may be assigned.

Support DRR Manager in development of CBDRM and SBDRM modules and training plans for target population in both Thatta and Mirpurkhas.
Support DRR Manager in delivering training of trainers as per defined plan.
Ensure timely implementation of all planned DRR interventions.
Support and facilitate partner in planning and organization of stakeholder workshops for compilation of village, UC DRR plans and revision of Thatta District DRR plan.
Support partner staff in organization of community mock drills for DRR.
Support partner staff to strengthen community and school organization’s advocacy skills and ensure that they can advocate for their DP/DRR needs with district administration.
Provide support to DRR Manager in development of monthly internal APRs, quarterly reports and external reporting to Government department and donor agencies.
Identify and monitor risks, constraints or escalating issues relating to the management of the program, and inform the hierarchy accordingly.

Emergency Response & New project development:

Provide support to ACF provincial team in case of any emergency in Sindh during the course of the project timeline.
Support in conducting needs assessment upon request from provincial head and technical leads in Islamabad.

Internal and External Coordination:

Support DRR Manager in timely implementation of the relevant KPIs.
Regularly provide progress updates to DRR Manager and SPM
Ensure regular coordination with consortium partners at field level to ensure that DP/DRR activities are being implemented as planned.
Represent Action Against Hunger at field-level

 Assist the Project Officer WASH and FSL Officer in making an action plan and developing of steps and strategies to implement the project
Assist in developing the questionnaire for collecting baseline information.
To conduct an assessment on the targeted area. Work closely with community members to ensure their proper participation, mobilization of the communities and formation of UC and Village-level committees.
Identify the potential trainees from the target communities and facilitate them trainings, including support to the trainers.
To demonstrate the use of WASH specific items which need special knowledge for operation   and maintenance, especially when using chemical i.e. water purification tablets, water treatment equipment.
To conduct participatory approach in promoting good water, sanitation and hygiene practices in targeted area To conduct and organize hygiene promotion sessions and awareness campaigns and support in cash for work activities.


To conduct participatory monitoring of water and sanitation facilities usage and maintenance with community and also related to food security.


To inform local authority and health department if   there is outbreak in community that requires immediate response.

Planning and implementation project activities with the supervision of regional head
•        Ensure the program delivery, evaluation, reporting efficiently, rigorously, and transparently in compliance with the policy guidelines and procedures.
•        Engage in the preparation of the annual operation plan of the program and ensure timely                submission of standardized quarterly, biannual and annual accomplishment reports.
