Financial Reporting & CAPEX
Responsibilities include but not limited to;- Responsible for month-end closing activities in SAP such as depreciation run, forexvaluation, petty cash posting, CAPEX run, costs settlement etc.- Ensuring month end accruals, provisions and preparation of schedules relevant to the financial statements.- Preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly & annual statutory accounts with detailed notes as required under relevant IFRS guidelines.- Monthly variance analysis and monitoring of costs.- Responsible for Fixed Assets Management in accordance with company’s SOPs.- Supervision of bank reconciliation statements process of more than 10 banks and ensuring no long outstanding items.- Responsible for preparing Quarterly Financial and Variance Analysis for Board Meeting Packs.- Assist Legal Dept. in corporate compliance, handling shareholders’ queries and responsible for disbursement of unclaimed dividend.- Assist Financial Controller in handling tax notices, preparation of quarterly tax computation, ensuring correct tax rates are being charged on products and services and other misc. tax inquiries from company’s stakeholders.- Supervision of withholding tax deductions made on payment and ensuring timely deposit into Govt. Treasury.- Coordinate with External Auditors for timely completion of Half yearly limited review and Annual Audit.- Coordinate with Internal Auditors for timely completion of internal audit of FSCP and CAPEX.- Any other task as may be assigned time to time.
Core responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Preparation of fortnightly and monthly bank reconciliation statements of multiple bank accounts.
- Daily inter-departmental coordination to process individual and corporate insurance policies, insurance claims and disbursement cheques in Oracle ERP system.
- Quarterly report and reconciliation of quota share due to/from Pakistan Re-insurance Company Ltd as per re-insurance agreement.
- Petty cash preparation and disbursement of Head Office and other branches within Pakistan.
- Weekly Income/Sales Tax withholding and timely payment along with monthly withholding return.
- Preparation of Quarterly Loss Ratio Comparison Report for Board Meeting reference.
- Preparation of Bank Forecasts on alternate days to maintain sufficient liquidity.
- All other work as per directives.
Duties included; preparation of bank reconciliation statements, draft monthly payroll, maintain company’s general ledger, issuing invoices, filing monthly income/sales tax return and all other accounts related matters of head office & branches as per instructions.
