Major Responsibilities
Facilitate to community for prioritize needs of DRR construction projects in Village Disaster Management Plan at field level.
The incumbent will be required to supervise and technically facilitate the Inclusive Disaster Reduction Structural Measures being implemented in the villages and ensuring technical guidelines, BOQs, Drawings/Designs and Contractual Obligations are strictly complied with and implementation is timely and transparent.
Making social appraisal for project recommended in prefeasibility stage.
Responsible for preparation of detailed proposals including BOQ, drawings of DRR projects and finalization of schemes agreements with VOs/ line agencies
Execute and monitoring of DRR project completely at field level regularly.
He should be skilled at managing technical work of DRR projects at field level individually. Even with little supervision.
To maintain record of DRR project at Field Unit level.  Like keep record of disbursement of schemes installments and maintain complete file of CPI schemes.
Responsible to prepare monthly work plan /weekly reports of schemes and submit to Project Coordinator regularly.
Any other task assigns by Project Coordinator time to time as per project need.
Any assignment given by authority.

Formation of technical feasibility of school structures/building to drive and to assign the retrofitting work to vendor
Formation of detailed bill of quantities according to the provided rates of services and material
Daily based monitoring of field work (retrofitting of school buildings) and reporting to technical supervisor
Inspection of supplies and materials and ensuring that the quality and quantity of material is according to approved technical specifications
Daily based recording of consumed material and services data and reporting to technical supervisor.
Monitoring of civil work and ensuring the engineering compliances in all respects 
Planning the supplies and retrofitting work and assigning to vendor under the supervision of technical supervisor
Preparation or revision of design, BOQ and workplans of civil works (retrofitting of school buildings), as required by the projects
Report to and discuss with the supervisor any technical issues which may have a direct impact on the general implementation of the project or of the organizations' activities in the area
Daily report work progress, and technical issues to the supervisor
Supervise the construction works
DRR-compliant and sustainable construction techniques and quality standards are construction works supervising.

Preparing bid specifications.
Ensure on time completion of the tasks in line with BoQs and designs
Assess the drinking water quality through laboratory test and suggest some purification measures
Manage work sites, including ensuring safety of staff, beneficiaries and supplies.
Ensure engineering works are carried out in participation with the Social Mobilization teams.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management.

Major Responsibilities
To initiate and manage social mobilization process of the project at the community level to effectively involve men, women, and youth in the various activities of the Project.
Coordination with community stakeholder, local counterparts, and partners for effective and timely project implementation
Facilitate information and knowledge management.
Plan social mobilization activities in the context of the project log frame and targets set aligned with project work plan.
Provide input in the development of terms of partnership to be signed with the communities for participation in the project activities,
Initiate social mobilization process and facilitate the project communities to organize themselves in shape of community organizations (male and female).
Identify and establish of community groups, and members in targeted area.
Facilitate participatory planning and implementation process for identification of school’s infrastructure needs and construction of prioritized infrastructure.
Support COs to build their capacities in CO management, planning and monitoring, conflict resolution, and promoting social harmony in the community.
Provide input for preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports on the field activities highlighting achievements and bottlenecks.
Collect and provide support in collection of information for base-lines surveys and evaluation or any other required study.
Document success/case stories for the project.
Document the overall social mobilization process, identify issues, and suggest improvements in the process.

Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors.
Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance.
