Senior Program Officer (Gender) under UNFPA Funded

As a Senior Program Officer, I lead UN-funded health
and gender-based violence (GBV) programs focused on
Integrated Primary Health Care and Gender-Based
Violence Services for Afghan refugees and host
communities in Balochistan. My responsibilities include:
Program Leadership & Management
•Lead UN-funded programs as the core representative
of the parent organization in Balochistan.
•Develop, manage, and evaluate projects on Sexual &
Reproductive Health (SRH), Maternal, Newborn &
Child Health (MNCH), GBV, and Mental Health &
Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).
•Provide technical supervision, including analysis of
reports and participation in key meetings on SRH,
MNCH, and gender equality.
•Develop and write healthcare project proposals to
expand program impact and sustainability.
Capacity Building & Advocacy
•Certified Master Trainer in the Minimum Initial
Service Package (MISP) for SRH in Crises, delivering
capacity-building sessions for UNFPA-funded
humanitarian SRH projects.
Facilitate training and orientations for project staff
on SRH, GBV, MISP, and Psychological First Aid (PFA)
to enhance service delivery.
•Lead and coordinate advocacy campaigns, including
the 16 Days of Activism against GBV, managing
events and partnerships to drive social change.
•Organize and facilitate the observance of
international days, raising awareness on SRH, GBV,
and related global health themes.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Strategic Support
•Monitor project performance, ensuring alignment
with key indicators and objectives.
•Supervise and maintain accurate and up-to-date
project data, ensuring timely reporting on targets and
deliverables.
•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and project completion
reports, providing insights for program improvement.
•Conduct field visits to intervention sites to oversee
project activities and provide technical support.
Partnerships & Innovation
•Build and maintain partnerships with NGOs and
stakeholders to strengthen collective efforts on SRH
and GBV.
•Advocate for the integration of innovative solutions
to improve service quality and accessibility.

Data Management and Analysis
•Develop and maintain robust data management
systems for UNFPA-funded initiatives, ensuring data
accuracy, integrity, and privacy to support informed
decision-making.
•Prepare and present data insights and comprehensive
reports to UNFPA stakeholders, summarizing trends,
performance metrics, and actionable
recommendations for program and policy
adjustments.
•Standardize reporting processes for UNFPA projects,
ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with
donor and organizational requirements.
Monitoring and Evaluation
•Conduct monitoring and evaluation visits for Sexual
and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Gender-Based
Violence (GBV) services, ensuring alignment with
UNFPA standards and protocols while identifying areas
for improvement.
•Support the implementation and evaluation of SRH
and GBV programs, addressing operational challenges
and ensuring alignment with UNFPA objectives.
Policy and Program Support
•Assist in the implementation of UNFPA-supported
policies aimed at improving SRH and GBV service
delivery, promoting sustainability, and maximizing
program impact.•Facilitate the adoption of evidence-based practices and
tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of
UNFPA-supported initiatives.
Advocacy and Awareness
•Coordinate and lead UNFPA-supported advocacy
activities, such as the "16 Days of Activism against
Gender-Based Violence", managing events,
campaigns, and partnerships to amplify awareness and
drive social change.
•Act as a focal point for engaging stakeholders and
communities, fostering collaboration to advance
UNFPA’s mandate on reproductive health and gender
equality.
•Organize, manage, and facilitate the observance of
international days, including events and awareness
campaigns focused on SRH, GBV, and related global
themes, ensuring impactful and inclusive participation.
Partnerships and Capacity Building
•Build and maintain partnerships with NGOs and
stakeholders to strengthen collective efforts toward
UNFPA’s objectives.
•Certified as a Master Trainer in the Minimum Initial
Service Package (MISP), delivering capacity-building
sessions for UNFPA-funded SRH projects in
humanitarian settings.
Innovation and Strategic Support
•Advocate for the integration of innovative solutions
into UNFPA-supported programs to improve the
quality and reach of SRH and GBV services.
•Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to
ensure programs meet emerging needs and align with
UNFPA’s global priorities.

• Guide and supervise field staff in the correct recording and reporting of health information on designated formats, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Lead the regular collection of information related to Reproductive Health (RH) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) as defined by the work plan, ensuring adherence to data collection protocols and standards.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly, weekly, quarterly, and annual progress reports, including analysis of key health indicators, trends, and challenges, to inform decision-making and program planning.
• Manage and maintain the DHIS database, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders for data validation and verification.
• Provide technical support to health facility staff on DHIS-related activities, including data collection, entry, and reporting.
• Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain documentation and records related to DHIS activities and HR documents of staff.
