I have highlighted three current challenges and areas of concern with regard to the protection needs of migrants, and the importance of RFL in the context of disasters.
Stranded migrants as ‘non citizens’ requiring relief and protection
Migrants forced to flee a disaster across an international border and requiring temporary protection.
The particular vulnerability of unaccompanied children and the increased risk of trafficking

Natural Resources management and agricultural activities.
• Participate in planning sessions and in the development of long-term NRM program strategies for the entire ICIMOD office.
• Train field staff and farmers on sustainable NRM practices relevant to the increased productivity of the selected value chains for the target communities. This includes designing appropriate training materials for use by farmers and other related groups
• Work closely with the Government of NWFP, Department of NRM personnel and Project Management in the design of appropriate strategies for target population in accordance with the project plans
• Ensuring that in all Resilient Livelihood interventions programming, there will be an intentional inclusion of the most vulnerable in the community.
• In collaboration with Program Team, maintain close working relationships with various partners at National and District levels aimed at improving the livelihood of poor households especially those of children and vulnerable groups and World Vision Visibility.
