Operational and Strategic Support – Implementing the Minimum Standards
Support PMI and shelter cluster to ensure that all programs and operations under the Emergency Plan of Action are implemented in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Minimum Standards for Protection, Gender and Inclusion in Emergencies.
Support operations distributing dignity kits and solar lamps for lighting, and the establishment of women and child friendly stations according to the Emergency Plan of Action for Sulawesi.
Work with sector leads to ensure gender, age, disability, health status and social status are considered in the design and implementation of Shelter/NFI, WASH and Health programs, with a target of ensuring equitable participation of women, men, girls and boys.
Technical Capacity Building of PMI
Working with the shelter cluster, PMI focal point, train PMI staff and volunteers in the Dignity Access Participation and Safety (DAPS) framework and Minimum Standards and the implementation of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) prevention, mitigation and response activities, including establish and/or strengthen referral pathways for SGBV and ensuring access to multi-sector response services (health, psychosocial support etc) .
Ensure child protection referral pathways are available, understood, and socialised and establish GBV referral and incident management and monitoring.
