Currently working as assistant manager at the civil engineering dept at GulAhmed Textile Mills. Major responsibilities include planning, scheduling and coordination among vast number of projects of diverse and sensitive nature being executed at over 8 different units/ factories located throughout the city.
Managed 8 projects (private & government including universities) costing between 60 to 200 million rupees, varying in nature including but not limited to residential flats, hostel, BSL-3 labs, printing press factory, warehouses, etc. Major responsibilities included,
· Execution adhering to drawings & specs as well as within budget and on schedule.
· Billing to client & verification of sub-contractor bills. Escalation/ price adjustment
· Planning, scheduling, monitoring & reporting of project progress and cash flow.
· Practicing contract management as per SPRA, PPRA & PEC (as applicable)
· Co-ordinating teams at different sites to ensure smooth flow of work on all projects.
· Co-ordination between all involved stakeholders.
· Conflict management through co-ordination between sub-contracted teams.
· Tendering for new projects.
· Preparation of BOQs and variation orders along with rate analysis.
· Resource allocation & material procurement.
· Preparation of bar bending schedule & its site execution.
· Implementation of health & safety standards as required.
Worked as “Junior Planning Engineer” at A&M Project Management Consultants for their client Principal Builders at their construction site at Emaar Pakistan, from 10th September 2015 to 10th April 2016. The scope of the job included planning and scheduling of construction activities, daily monitoring and weekly updating of progress and rectifications of any deviation from schedule.
During this period, I was also involved in preparation of detailed Primavera schedule for the project, and measuring the project performance against it, as well as performing time studies, allocating resources and performing earned value analysis under supervision of MD Principal Builders.
