- Managing the overall Accounts and Finance related matters of the Project.
- Preparation of Annual Cash Plan, Annual Work Plan & Annual Budget of the Project.
- Managing the payroll& other benefits for the staff of the Project.
- Preparation of expenditure statements on Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly & Annual basis and ensures that the expenditure is incurred within the approved budget limits.
- Managing the bank reconciliation statements of the Project.
- Manage to prepare Books of Accounts, Consumable Stock Register and Dead Stock Register.
- Preparation of various Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual reports for further submission to Ministry of National Food, Security & Research, Prime Minister Secretariat &Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform.
- Manage & Update the financial data of the Project on the Project Monitoring & Evaluation System (PMES) of Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform on monthly, Quarterly & Annual basis.
- Preparation of Revised Budget of ongoing financial year and Budget Estimates of next three years for the Medium Term Budgetary Framework (MTBF) as required by Ministry of Finance.
- Preparation of supporting documents for the Mid-Year review of the project for onward submission to Ministry of National Food, Security & Research.
- Prepare all the supporting information for the Internal Auditors & External Auditors and act as a coordinator for all of their audit activities.
- Prepare replies to the audit paras and follow up on timely resolution of audit paras.
- Coordinating with Ministry of National Food, Security & Research, Ministry of Finance, Accountant General of Pakistan Revenues (AGPR), Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform & National Bank of Pakistan with regards to release/utilization of Project related funds.
- Oversee the entire function of Finance, Accounting and Tax and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Managing the payroll and other related benefits for all the employees of the company.
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Financial Statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Preparation of annual budgets and three years forecasts.
- Review budget and forecasts variations and reporting the variances to Senior Management.
- Perform financial analysis of business performance and reporting to Senior Management.
- Prepare various analytical reports required by senior management from time to time.
- Prepare all tax related workings and maintain proper coordination with tax consultant.
- Managing the bank reconciliations and inter branch reconciliations of the company.
- Reviewing and finalizing the monthly and yearly closing process.
- Maintaining fixed assets register and ensure proper accounting for additions and disposals.
- Managing the accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals and prepayments of the company.
- Managing the Investments and surplus cash of the company.
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company’s assets.
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to State Bank of Pakistan and quarterly reporting to Parent company.
- Acting as a liaison person and prepare all supporting information for the External Auditors, Auditors of State Bank of Pakistan & Auditors of National Bank of Pakistan (Parent company).
- Follow-up and monitoring of all the audit recommendations made by company’s Auditors.
- Coordinating all the special assignments and consultancy services.
- Representation on quarterly meetings with Board of Directors, Audit Committee and NBP Subsidiary committee.
- Planning, supervision and review of the audit engagement.
- Developing and performing substantive and analytical procedures so as to determine the reasonableness of the financial statements.
- Preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the design and operations through test of controls and identifying control weaknesses therein and communicating those weaknesses with recommendations to those charged with governance and management.
- Reviewing minutes of meetings of board of directors and audit committee and ensuring the compliance with the statutory requirements and Code of Corporate Governance (COCG).
