Mr. Parkash has more than 04 years experience in Humanitarian and Development organizations since 2009 and currently he is working as Monitoring Officer in Health And Nutrition Development Society (HANDS).
he has diversified experience of working in different contexts in organizations with national and international Donors/Partners including Action Aid, UN-HABITAT, Save the Children, USAID, DFID, PPAF and Medico International (MI), Packard Foundation and Sindh Education Foundation and currently working as Monitoring Officer in HANDS Karachi.
He has started his professional career as a Internee in HANDS and then he had promoted as Social Organizer and then promoted as District Project Manager and performed following duties such as, conducting situation analysis for reducing vulnerabilities, assessing community needs, developing the proposals and budgets, designing response and implementation strategies, managing logistics during the projects, organizing t events, conducting and designing capacity building interventions regarding community as well as staff level, developing and maintaining linkages with line departments and other key stakeholders, conducting advocacy and lobbying campaigns for the Advocacy and development related issues.
Apart from managerial activities he has been contributing in relief and rehabilitation works during the Flood 2010, 2011 and 2012 by providing following duties such as, Need assessments in emergencies, Food Security Assessments, Household Economy Assessments, SPHERE standards, Participatory Vulnerability Assessments, Disaster Management.
